Girlnoise is a mixed-instrumentation chamber ensemble dedicated to uplifting women’s voices in contemporary classical music. Founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2015, Girlnoise aims to promote and normalize women’s potential to manifest their artistic visions without the permission, presence, or influence of men. Girlnoise strives to set this example by providing updated and versatile concert experiences through unique and modular instrumentation, collaboration with living composers, diverse venue selection, and excellent musicianship.
